Chief Financial Officer Jobs

The chief financial officer (CFO) is primarily responsible for managing financial risks of the organization and providing leadership to financial operations. Other responsibilities for this position include financial, budget, investment, audit, accounting, payroll, taxes, credit, cash flow management and risk management activities of the firm; establishment and maintenance of fiscal controls; preparing and interpreting financial reports, and safeguarding the organizations assets; human resource management; meeting business leadership and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements; advising on financial management; overseeing and directing annual budget preparation; overseeing preparation of financial statements; budgeting; and coordination with the finance director. The chief financial officer reports directly to the chief executive officer. A chief financial officer should have a bachelor’s degree, CPA, CIA, or CMA. Prior experience as controller, vice president of finance, financial manager, senior manager, or executive manager is advantageous.
