My Take On “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior”
Well, it’s the product of the same thinking, in the same culture. This is what’s best for the child’s future, disregard the amount of torture it causes the child. (Foot binding was supposed to be a beauty enhancement that would alllow for a better marriage arrangement,)
And yeah, corsets were bad news too. But if you ask me, which would I choose…..having my feet broken at age 5 to suffer for lifetime, or to wear a corset as a teen advice that would make a pregnancy a danger and breathing difficult……I would still choose 3 hours of daily violin practice!
See, In my post I actually thought this was an improvement in Chinese parenting of girls as seen thorugh the prism of history.
