When I was much younger, I remember my father taking me to the horse races on Sunday.  He may have had an unresolved betting problem, but that’s a post for another day.  Looking back now, I can remember how the barrel racing saddles were always such heavy, bulky things.  It’s amazing how far they’ve come in ergo-dynamics.  It makes me think of cars back then, and how they were unsafe, bulky things too – even if they did have more “class.”  It’s just amazing to me to see how far we’ve come in terms of technology, and to think how far we have yet to go. I can honestly say that I am a very competitive person, no matter what the competition is or who I am against. As long as there is a possibility of winning, I will give a hundred and ten percent! And whenever I do lose (the rare times that happens), I can’t take it. I’m always so sad and bitter (even if I don’t mean to be). It’s just who I am and I am not changing myself.
